Producer / Engineer / Mixer / Writer

Gethin Pearson is a talented and creative producer, mixer and songwriter from Wales. With a background as a musician himself, multi-instrumentalist Gethin can turn his talents to everything from rock and metal to classic indie and electropop to hip hop, but throughout all facets of his work, his unique talent shines through. His enthusiastic and encouraging style has a special way of nurturing talent by enabling artists to find their own sound, pushing them out of their comfort zone to explore new influences and sounds whilst also remaining true to themselves and their art.

Gethin recently produced and mixed the forthcoming album from KELE (Bloc Party’s Kele Okereke) ‘2042’ which is coming out on KOLA Records (via K7). The first track ‘Jungle Bunny’ is out now. The album is the latest in a great creative relationship between the two of them which started with Gethin’s production of Kele’s contribution to the ‘Universal Love’ album.

Gethin’s talents are showcased brilliantly by his work with cult Birmingham band JAWS. He recently produced & mixed the album ‘The Ceiling’, which was released in April 2019, having previously worked his magic on 2016’s ‘Simplicity’ which was one of DIY’s Albums Of The Year and has amassed over 6 million Spotify streams across its tracks. He also lent his creative production talents to two tracks on this year’s Crystal Fighters mixtape ‘Gaia and Friends’, as well as Irish sensation Orla Gartland’s latest EP ‘Why Am I Like This?’ which he mixed having also produced the title track. He deftly turns his hand to pop music too, having done vocal production for ALMA + French Montana’s smash hit ‘Phases’ as well as engineering for Charli XCX. Gethin produced and mixed tracks on the 2018 To Kill A King album 'The Spiritual Dark Age' including the singles 'The Good Old Days', 'Spiritual Dark Age' and 'No More Love Songs' which he also co-wrote. This led to him being the ideal producer & mixer for TKAK frontman’s Ralph Pelleymounter’s impressive debut solo album, which was released in May 2019. He also produced and co-wrote tracks on the CC Smugglers album, including the Radio 2 playlisted ‘Rhythm’. His mix work includes Holy Moly & The Crackers ‘Cold Comfort Lane’ which has had massive syncs for the film Ocean’s 8 and Kia.

Working from his own studio in Wales and with great relationships with residential studios around the country for larger full band sessions, Gethin’s boundless enthusiasm for new music has led him to work with exciting new artists including E.Parker (whose current release Palazzo came out via legendary label Maison Kitsune), Spotify and BBC Introducing tipped Suns Up, Flowvers, The RPMS, The Pitchforks and Radio X favourites Purest and Judas. Previous credits include work with Mallory Knox, The Enemy, Personal Best and Clay.

Gethin’s passion is creating; be that traditional production, programming and arranging beats, songwriting or mixing, Gethin is always happy to discuss effective and innovative ways to collaborate. No matter the budget or current status of the artist, Gethin works on projects he believes in and they always get nothing but his undivided care and attention.
