With a reputation as one of the most sought after recording and mix engineers in the UK, Jon Gray’s musical output has been vast and varied. His repute was forged working amongst some of the most alternative and exciting UK talent, which has continued throughout his career.

Jon’s creative collaborations with some of the most exciting producers in the UK music scene have led to him working with brilliant artists across the years. Working alongside Ian Broudie, Jon recorded and mixed the platinum selling eponymous debut album for THE CORAL, as well as their acclaimed follow-ups Medicine And Magic and Nightfreak And The Sons Of Becker. He also engineered and mixed THE ZUTONS’ Mercury-nominated debut Who Killed…… The Zutons,  I AM KLOOT’s Life In A Day, and THE SUBWAYS’ With You, which led to him producing and mixing two tracks, I Lost You To The City and A Plane Above for the band.

Together with Jagz Kooner, Jon has worked on albums for RADIO 4, THE MUSIC and REVEREND AND THE MAKERS’ debut album, which spawned the monster hit Heavyweight Champion Of The World. As well as teaming up with Jacknife Lee in 2007 for THE EDITORS’ An End Has A Start, which topped the UK album charts, Jon has recently worked with Zak Starkey on a number of projects, including recording album tracks for HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES.

Jon is renowned for his mix abilities, having mixed many Top 5 singles in the past. His time as a mix engineer for JOHN DIGWEED & NICK MUIR’s BEDROCK project spawned a plethora of electronic bangers, and resulted in Jon Gray and Nick Muir joining together to create FATLINERS. His ability to seamlessly merge gritty indie guitars with pulsing dance beats is effortless, and has led to him working with a number of very exciting dance acts including SUNSCREEM, BODYROCKERS and DJ HYPER. Outside of the dance world, he has mixed tracks for the likes of THE FUTUREHEADS and THE COURTEENERS, and has also recently mixed tracks for indie newcomers FRONTEERS.

Currently Jon is been focused on his own artist project, REFLECKTOR, whose tracks have recently been used on an advert for Victoria’s Secret, and synced on a number of television series, including NCIS, APB and Beyond. With lots of exciting stuff to come from the band this year, 2017 is certainly set to be a great one for the Sheffield four-piece.
