Andy Savours trained under Alan Moulder and Flood at Assault & Battery Studios for 7 years, which put him in the engineering hot seat early on with projects including SIGUR ROS, THE HORRORS, THE ARCTIC MONKEYS and THE KILLERS. After branching out on his own he engineered MY BLOODY VALENTINE’s long awaited follow up to 'Loveless', 'mbv' the 'see my friends' album for RAY DAVIES plus added programming on GOLDFRAPP'S 'Silver Eye' Album. He established himself as a mixer with clients such as ROISIN MURPHY, PNAU and THE KILLS and went on to produce records for THE PAINS OF BEING PURE AT HEART, CLOUD BOAT, MR HUDSON, OUR GIRL and THE MAGIC GANG.

Recently Andy produced, engineered and mixed the critically lauded debut record for BLACK COUNTRY, NEW ROAD, 'For the first time'. He has also been co-producing and mixing for Domino Records signings SORRY, producing and mixing singles for LADYBIRD, PUREST and JOAN as well as the latest EP by Brighton band FUR. He has also been recording the new album for MY BLOODY VALENTINE and worked with KEVIN SHIELDS on remastering 'loveless' and 'isn't anything' for Vinyl. He mixed for another Domino records signing PETER PERRET, Brighton band DREAM WIFE as well as the debut album for Memphis Industries MUSH. Plus he added production and mixed LIZ LAWRENCE'S pity party album.

At the start of 2019 Andy set-up a studio in the old Battery studios building in Willesden. Packed with an extensive collection of recording equipment, mic’s, instruments, amps and his large synth collection it’s big enough to track full bands but is also great for programming, overdubbing and mixing. The studio is built around a 54 channel Midas Heritage H1000 and features a large mix room, a large tracking room and a good sized drum/vocal booth. Originally built in 1976 by Morgan studios with acoustic design by Eastlake and Andy Munro the studio sounds fantastic and with 3 separate recording areas offers a great deal of flexibility.

His new electronic project FRERE recently released their 'Big Hug' EP on TOURIST's Monday records and will be supporting him on his next UK tour. He is also one half of the electronic folk duo MALPAS, who released their debut album, 'Rain River Sea', on Killing Moon Records, and YEBO Records in the US.
